(April 6, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi issued a stern wake-up call to the Indian government to stop spending the hard-earned money of India’s poor people to purchase weapons from wealthy arms-producing nations in a vain hope that such weapons will bring safety to the nation. “It is illogical—weapons will only bring flames and death to India. They will not save the nation,” Maharishi warned.

Instead, Maharishi urged India’s leaders to use Indian money to engage large numbers of peace-creating experts—Vedic Pandits—throughout the country to promote coherent national consciousness, which is the basis of invincibility for the country.

The news conference was held one week after Maharishi launched his historic program to create an invincible, problem-free India as a stepping-stone to creating an invincible, problem-free world. Large numbers of Vedic Pandits in India are performing Vedic Yagyas and Grahashanti to enliven in national consciousness Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers the universe with perfect order. Maharishi urged the world press to watch each week for signs of success of his program, which will include less conflict and more harmony in Indian national consciousness.

Brain wave coherence promotes enlightenment for the individual
and invincibility for the nation

A highlight of Maharishi’s March 30 news conference was a presentation by leading scientists from Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, on the effects of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation program—along with the effects of the recitation of Vedic sounds—in promoting high levels of brain wave coherence. According to research, brain wave coherence promotes increased intelligence, clear thinking, improved decision-making, and higher states of consciousness. Research also shows that group practice of Maharishi’s Vedic technologies creates coherence in the collective consciousness of the whole population.

Maharishi said these findings represent the first achievement of the first week of his program to raise India to invincibility. “The research has brought out the scientific principles and practice of how invincibility is going to rise in India,” Maharishi said. “Increased coherence in brain functioning in the individual will create increased coherence in the life of the country—the basis of invincibility for the nation.”

Vedic recitation is a science—not a religion

Maharishi emphasized that Vedic recitation is a scientific procedure that produces coherent brain functioning—it is not a religion. “Indian government leaders should engage as many Vedic Pandits as possible for large Vedic performances. As the number of Vedic Pandits increases, coherence—sattwa—in national consciousness will increase—just as more candles bring more light to a big room,” Maharishi said.

In response to a press question, Maharishi explained that India was selected to demonstrate the effectiveness of his program because it is one of the biggest countries in the world and is home to the Vedic knowledge of invincibility. “I am concerned with the whole of world consciousness,” Maharishi said. “That is why I am using one of the largest countries—not a small one. And it is a country where Vedic knowledge and the daily routine of the Vedic Pandits will support an upsurge of coherence and invincibility in the nation.”

Maharishi said his program will be successful when enough Vedic Pandits have been engaged to create coherent national consciousness and thereby change the trends of government. “National consciousness drives the government,” Maharishi said. “We will know we are successful when the Indian government displays sensible thinking—Vedic thinking—and uses money from its treasury for Yagyas and Grahashanti.”

“A miracle is going to happen”

Maharishi concluded by reassuring the world press that a miracle is going to happen. “With the grace of Guru Dev and the tradition of Vedic masters, the Vedic Pandits are going to transform salt into sugar through their Vedic performances. They are going to transform Kali Yuga, which is the age of negativity, into Sat Yuga, which is the age of positivity. But this miracle is not an empty hope or a dream. It is a practical reality that is going to occur in a natural way by enlivening in world consciousness Total Natural Law—the perfect system of the administration of the universe,” Maharishi said. “So it doesn’t matter what the past has been, because the collective consciousness of every nation will soon be coherent, invincible, and fulfilled—free from all problems, disturbances, and suffering.”

(April 13, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi urged the world’s top scientists to take a leadership role in the administration of their nations and to structure their governments to mirror the flawless Government of the Universe. Such ideal administration, Maharishi said, will raise every country to invincibility and render life free from problems and suffering.

For this, Maharishi called on scientists to follow in the footsteps of His Majesty Raja Raam, M.D., Ph.D., First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace and the world’s foremost neuroscientist, and His Excellency John Hagelin, Ph.D., world-renowned quantum physicist, President of the US Peace Government, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.

“What an ideal world it will be when the greatest scientists in every country utilize their knowledge of Total Natural Law—the Unified Field—to create an ideal government in their country,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s invitation to scientists came during his April 6 global news conference, which was broadcast live to the press on all continents via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.

The administration of life will be handled from the most basic field of consciousness

Maharishi said his invitation is based on the discovery by His Majesty Raja Raam that the field of consciousness—Total Natural Law—is at the basis of all physical expressions in the universe. “With His Majesty Raja Raam’s discovery, the administration of life on earth can now be handled from this most basic field of consciousness, which promotes the evolution of everyone and everything, from point to infinity, in the ever-expanding galactic universe,” Maharishi said. Maharishi explained that Raja Raam is addressed as “His Majesty” because of his supreme authority in the field of Total Natural Law—and his ability to bestow invincibility on every nation.

Vedic technologies create coherent brain functioning—
the basis of coherent national consciousness

Maharishi emphasized that it is easy to create ideal administration through the Vedic technologies of consciousness—including Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying—which are available from the ancient Vedic literature. “These technologies enliven within the self-referral consciousness of everyone the Unified Field—the force of gravity, the force of unification—to create coherent brain functioning. Then every fiber in the brain physiology will function in full coherence with all other fibers in the brain—just as every galaxy functions in full coherence with all the other galaxies in the universe,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi added that a group in every country of a few hundred to a few thousand Yogic Flyers with coherent brain functioning is enough to radiate an enormous intensity of coherence in the whole world consciousness. The number of Yogic Flyers will depend upon the size of the population of the country. “Then every country will function in full coherence with all other countries in the family of nations,” Maharishi said.

In response to a press question, Maharishi explained that the world has been shrouded in problems and suffering because the knowledge of administration through Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—has been unavailable for centuries. “That is why the systems of administration prevalent in the world today—monarchy, democracy, dictatorship—are inefficient and ineffective,” Maharishi said. “However, with the knowledge of Total Natural Law now available from the modern physical sciences, ancient Vedic science, and the holy texts of every religion, human society will enjoy the support of the Constitution of the Universe—and the world will bask in the sunshine of permanent peace, prosperity, and happiness.”

Global Country of World Peace established to create a model of ideal administration

To hasten the onset of this new sunshine on earth, Maharishi established the Global Country of World Peace as a model of ideal administration for all governments. “The Global Country of World Peace will fulfill its supreme parental role in the world by silently administering all life from its common basis in the field of consciousness. It will fulfill the natural spirit of globalization—unification—that is rising up in the world. And it will guide all nations to invincibility so that every country will enjoy the strength and invincibility of all other countries,” Maharishi said.

For this, Maharishi said, His Majesty Raja Raam is inviting patriotic citizens as well as political, economic, and religious leaders of every nation to be trained at Maharishi Universities of World Peace worldwide in the science and art of enlightenment for themselves and invincibility for the nation. “The world is going to be ruled by competent, intelligent, highly creative people who are in tune with Total Natural Law,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi concluded by reminding the world press to watch carefully for signs of rising positivity in world consciousness. “A beautiful time is coming for the world,” Maharishi said. “We have to see how long it takes the Global Country of World Peace to bless all governments with invincibility—so that every nation enjoys freedom from problems, suffering, conflict, and war. We are inviting the world press to watch carefully week after week because the process of transformation from darkness into light will be silent—but the results will be obvious for everyone to see.”

(April 21, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed this week that mankind has now entered the gate of a golden time of affluence and peace for everyone born on earth. And Maharishi called on the world press to provide him with the daily news of rising positivity around the globe now that his program is under way to create coherence in the collective consciousness of India and the whole world—the basis of permanent world peace.

"For 50 years I have been explaining how our programs will create enlightenment for the individual and invincibility for the nation through the science and technology of Total Natural Law," Maharishi declared. "But the time for talk is over—now is the time for us to produce the effect."

Each new candle increases light and decreases darkness

Maharishi’s program to create coherent collective consciousness includes training a large number of experts throughout India in the peace-promoting Vedic technologies of Transcendental Meditation, Yogic Flying, and Yagyas. Maharishi likened this process to adding candles in a darkened room. "With each new candle, the intensity of light increases and darkness decreases. Now we have to see how soon we can gather enough candles to eliminate all darkness," Maharishi said.

Administration is worthwhile only if it promotes peace and harmony

Maharishi explained that "darkness" in the country is negativity in collective consciousness—which is at the basis of all problems, sickness, and suffering. "Negativity arises due to improper education, improper medicine, improper food, and improper administration. And the worst system of administration is democracy," Maharishi said. "Administration is worthwhile only if it promotes peace and harmony. But the wretched system of democracy damages harmony—it is designed to create disorder through divisive party politics. It is government of the ignorant based on the votes of hooligans in the streets."
 

Peace Governments will produce ideal administration through Total Natural Law

In contrast to the widespread chaos and confusion of existing governments, Maharishi said that new Peace Governments are now being established in every country to promote prevention-oriented, problem-free administration. Maharishi said the Peace Governments are based on the transcendental level of Total Natural Law, which silently administers the universe with perfect order—and which cannot be disturbed by anything. The Peace Governments are being established by John Hagelin, Ph.D., world-renowned quantum physicist, President of the US Peace Government, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.

"Dr. Hagelin is inviting the world’s top scientists who have the knowledge of Total Natural Law to use their expertise to create ideal administration in their countries," Maharishi said. "These scientists will utilise Vedic technologies to awaken cosmic intelligence within individual intelligence—to enliven Total Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe, in the self-referral consciousness of every individual and every nation. Then every government of every country—large or small—will enjoy the flawless administration of the Constitution of the Universe."

India is the land of the Veda

Maharishi said he chose India as the first country to demonstrate the effectiveness of his program because India is one of the largest countries in the world and because India is the land of the Veda—the home of the Vedic knowledge of enlightenment and invincibility. "As Indian national consciousness rises in coherence—which is the basis of invincibility for the nation—then world consciousness will rise in coherence—which is the basis of permanent world peace," Maharishi said

Maharishi emphasised that the global transformation should not take long. "One sun rises, but its innumerable rays spread light everywhere," Maharishi said. "So it’s natural for the influence of coherence to spread from India to the whole world."

Maharishi also explained that his program will be a success when the government of India rises to become an ideal Vedic government—impartial and equally nourishing to all. "Until then, we will move, little by little, in the direction of an ideal government. And as we do, all those childish principles of administration that have plagued governments and divided nations in the past will disappear as the light of coherence—sattwa—grows brighter and brighter in collective consciousness," Maharishi said.

"Truth triumphs"

Maharishi concluded by citing the eternal Vedic principle: Satyam eva jayate—"Truth triumphs." "For truth to triumph in today’s world, we just have to align ourselves with Total Natural Law—the light of God—the omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent system of administration which governs the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order," Maharishi said. "So now we will wait to hear from the world press—day after day and week after week—the good news of positivity rising in different parts of the world. Soon our dear world family is going to enjoy life in health, happiness, prosperity, and peace—everything good in life in the light of God."

(April 29, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi announced this week that he will hold an historic training course in the knowledge of Total Natural Law for top scientists in every nation. Maharishi said the newly trained scientists will become the leaders of the Peace Government in their nations.

“These scientists will have the knowledge and techniques of Total Natural Law to help guide every individual to higher states of consciousness and create coherent collective consciousness to promote an ideal administration in their countries,” Maharishi said.

Scientists are being invited to attend by John Hagelin, Ph.D., world-renowned quantum physicist, President of the US Peace Government, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.

Providing scientists with the knowledge and experience of Total Natural Law

Maharishi said there are scientists in every country who understand the deeper levels of Natural Law. “Now, we will take their understanding one step further and give them the knowledge and experience of Total Natural Law within their own self-referral Transcendental Consciousness—the level of totality which administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “When a scientist functions from this level, he will be capable of promoting coherent world consciousness—the basis of invincibility for every nation and permanent world peace.”

Governments lack the knowledge to guide people to higher states of consciousness

Maharishi said the widespread chaos and confusion in government today is because leaders lack the knowledge to properly administer society—to effectively guide the people to higher states of consciousness. “There are people in the world with different levels of consciousness,” Maharishi said. “Some people are more intelligent, others are less intelligent, and still others are quite unintelligent. Government has lacked the knowledge of different levels of consciousness—and the techniques to guide people from their own level of consciousness to higher states of consciousness.”

As a result, Maharishi said, governments have become a “hodgepodge” of all kinds of people, from the very intelligent to the illiterate—creating problems and difficulties in the life of the nation.

Establishing 3,000 Peace Palaces in the world’s largest 3,000 cities

To successfully administer people at all levels of consciousness, Maharishi said that 3,000 Peace Palaces are now being established in the world’s largest 3,000 cities. These Peace Palaces will provide the knowledge and techniques to raise any individual from the ordinary sleeping, dreaming, and waking states of consciousness to the higher states of Transcendental Consciousness, Cosmic Consciousness, God Consciousness, and Unity Consciousness. “Each Peace Palace will have different departments to guide people at different levels of consciousness to the supreme level of Unity Consciousness through Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques—as well as through health programs and behavioral routines appropriate for their level of consciousness,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi explained that an individual’s level of consciousness can be identified through his subjective experiences as well as through objective measures, such as brain mapping.

Peace Governments established out of frustration and fulfillment

In response to a press question, Maharishi said he is establishing Peace Governments on the national, state, and city levels in every nation for two reasons:

1)      Frustration with the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of existing government leaders who lack the knowledge of proper administration, who constantly fight each other through the divisive democratic system of government, and who are unable to understand Maharishi’s offer to create ideal administration due to their own stressed, improperly functioning brains

2)      Fulfillment that the solution to all problems of government is at hand. “Since we have the knowledge to create an ideal administration, I decided we should do it ourselves,” Maharishi said. “If immature people can form a government, then why can’t we? We can do it more successfully, comprehensively, and easily.”

Banks urged to provide loans to build Peace Palaces immediately

Maharishi also directed a special message to banks and other financial institutions, urging them to provide the loans needed to quickly build the 3,000 Peace Palaces around the world. Maharishi emphasized that the loans are not a donation, but rather will yield the same profit to the banks as the financing of any other building. At the same time, Maharishi said, the banks will make the most important contribution to life on earth. “They will build Peace Palaces to promote permanent world peace,” said Maharishi, who then emphasized: “But they should do it now—without wasting one day. Because as soon as the Peace Palaces are built, the world will be heaven.”

Everyone should contribute his share to build the Peace Palaces

Maharishi concluded by calling on all the people to contribute their share to building a Peace Palace in their city as well. “It should be everyone’s joy and responsibility to ensure that there are as much funds as possible to build the 3,000 Peace Palaces and to establish large numbers of peace-creating Vedic Pandits and Yogic Flyers around the world to create coherent world consciousness,” Maharishi said. “So my message to financial institutions and individuals is the same: Do it today—do it now.”
