Maharishi Offers
Governments
Asks the World Press: (October 1, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week proclaimed anew his offer to governments to raise every individual to enlightenment and every nation to invincibility through the knowledge of total Natural Law. Maharishi then sought advice from the world press how to more effectively implement his programs and thereby more quickly eliminate global problems and suffering. “We want to create a permanent platform of peace and happiness in the world through proper education, health, administration, agriculture—through every area of society,” Maharishi said. “So I ask the press—the wise opinion-makers of the world—to suggest something we should do that we have not yet done to create permanent world peace.” Maharishi’s offer to governments and his message to the world press came during his September 29 global news conference, which was broadcast live via satellite broadcast, Internet webcast, and teleconference call from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.
Maharishi’s message is broadcast Maharishi said his message is being broadcast around the clock through a global communications network that spans all continents, including satellite television broadcasts and Internet webcasts. “With the grace of the tradition of Vedic masters, we are offering total knowledge of Natural Law to all the people in terms of their own cultural traditions and in the language of modern science, Vedic science, and religion. We are offering total knowledge to promote a peaceful life in enlightenment—free from problems and suffering—for everyone,” Maharishi said.
Maharishi
repeatedly challenges In recent weeks, Maharishi has repeatedly challenged the world press to fulfill their responsibility to deliver his message to world leaders. “The press should fulfill their duty and—for their own sake and the sake of their nation—bring this knowledge to their leaders to create a world without suffering and problems.” Otherwise, Maharishi said, the press will be forced to continue to report only negative news. “We live in an undeveloped civilization with a wretched democratic system that divides a nation into pieces through partisan politics. It is the fate of the world press to report unfortunate news in all parts of the world,” said Maharishi, who then added: “It is true that we need the world press to bring our message to the leaders. However, it is also true that the world press needs us to provide them with useful information to bring to their leaders to create a peaceful, harmonious world.”
Government
leaders should first experience In response to a press question about the first step government leaders should take to create permanent world peace, Maharishi said the leaders should experience deep peace within themselves. “First, everyone should experience the field of peace—the Unified Field—within his own Self through Transcendental Meditation,” Maharishi said. “Then parents should send their children to the Vedic universities, colleges, and schools to gain total knowledge of the Unified Field—both intellectually and experientially. This is the only way an individual can enjoy a state of inner peace—and this is the only way to create permanent world peace.” Maharishi said that since gaining total knowledge of the Unified Field is now a possibility through Vedic education—“a possibility so enormous that it is even beyond all imagination”— that it should be adopted, cultivated, and enjoyed by everyone. “A properly educated man will be able to quietly fulfill all his desires through the support of total Natural Law,” Maharishi said. “However, an uneducated man will flounder around in stress and fear and create a nuisance for himself and others—all due to lack of knowledge of total Natural Law.” “We invite everyone to enjoy the light” Maharishi concluded by emphasizing the simple truth of his message. “Only a lighted lamp can remove darkness. We have the lighted lamp and we invite everyone to take it home and enjoy the light,” Maharishi said. “We have been shouting aloud this message day after day from the field of modern science, Vedic science, religion, education, health—from every field. What else can we do? Those who are destined to enjoy will enjoy, those who are destined to suffer are destined to suffer.” | |

“America must wake up to
the consequences of its destructive policies: (October 6, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi declared this week that every government can now safeguard its people and rise to invincibility through the science and technology of the Unified Field. However, Maharishi cautioned, neither U.S. President George Bush nor Senator John Kerry possess the administrative expertise to make America safe. Only Dr. John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist and President of the US Peace Government, has the knowledge and technology to make the nation invincible and promote permanent peace and prosperity in the world. “The world press is making a big fuss over the two candidates during the election,” Maharishi said. “But the truth is, it doesn’t matter which man becomes president because neither candidate has the ability to raise the safety and security of the nation to the level of invincibility. The key to successful administration is the mind—not money Maharishi dismissed the prevailing notion that money is the key to successful government. “It is childish to think that money can administer the nation. It is not money—it is the mind of the people that creates the strength or weakness of the nation. That is why we say, ‘administration through education.’” Maharishi said education should enliven the full creative intelligence of total Natural Law in the mind of every student. “Total Natural Law administers the universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “The goal of education should be to awaken total Natural Law within the awareness of every individual so that cosmic creative intelligence is displayed in his every thought, speech, and action. This is the basis for a mistake-free life—and prevention-oriented, problem-free administration.’” Maharishi announced that Vedic universities and colleges—as well as primary, middle, and secondary schools—are now being established in every country to provide total knowledge to every level of society to raise the whole population to enlightenment and create permanent world peace.

A group of 8,000 Yogic Flyers can safeguard the nation In response to a press question, Maharishi said that the president of a country cannot safeguard the nation. The only way to make a nation invincible, Maharishi explained, is to create coherent collective consciousness. Maharishi cited the Meissner Effect in physics, which states that internally coherent systems possess the ability to repel external influences, while incoherent systems are easily penetrated by disorder from outside. “Scientific research has proven that a group of 8,000 Yogic Flyers enlivens the Unified Field within their own self-referral consciousness and creates coherence and harmony in collective consciousness,” Maharishi said. “With coherent collective consciousness, the government will be able to fulfill its parental role in the nation and bring satisfaction to all the people. It will remain in power and never be turned out of office.” America has forsaken the guidance of its founders In response to another press question about the current state of U.S. politics, Maharishi said America has forsaken the guidance of its founders—and, as a result, the nation is now deeply divided. “America’s founding president warned the people to stay away from political parties because they would divide the country against itself and destroy the integrity of the nation. But America ignored his advice, and now the nation is being torn apart by partisan politics,” Maharishi said. Maharishi also warned America about its destructive policies. “‘As you sow, so shall you reap,’” Maharishi said. “The destroyer will be destroyed. America must wake up to the consequences of its actions.”
Every individual and all governments have a
choice: Maharishi concluded by reassuring the press that despite the destructive trends around the globe, the knowledge is now available to transform the world—no matter what the people may believe. “Believe it or not, when the sun rises in the morning, the darkness of the night must disappear. In the same way, when groups of Yogic Flyers radiate peace throughout the world, the waves of destruction must disappear,” Maharishi said. “The knowledge to create invincibility is real. It has been sung in the holy scriptures of every religion, it is presented in the textbooks of all physical sciences, and it is available to everyone in his own Transcendental Consciousness—Atma—through the Vedic science of consciousness. With the blessings of the most enlightened tradition of Vedic masters, we have the knowledge to stop all barbaric behavior in the world. Now every individual and all governments have a choice: Continue to suffer in darkness or come and enjoy the light.” | |

Until then, he has invited the President of the Peace Government to use his quiet office in The Jefferson to serve as a national office of the Peace Government. Today, Dr. John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist, President of the United States Peace Government, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, will inaugurate the national offices of the US Peace Government at The Jefferson in Washington, D.C. Not the uneducated people in the country,” Maharishi said. “It is the foreign powers—the arms-selling British and Americans—who rule. It is cruel to force democracy on a country—to demand change in the government every four years in exchange for some small amount of money. Government leaders must learn something new Maharishi acknowledged that his offer of invincibility may be beyond the comprehension of government leaders today, but emphasized that leaders must learn something new in order to secure the safety and sovereignty of their nations. “Those who are managing national affairs must know something which they do not yet know to raise national consciousness to a high level of invincibility so that their sovereignty can never be shadowed by anyone or anything at any time,” Maharishi said. The experience of the Unified Field is the basis of invincibility Maharishi said the individual is the unit of the nation, so the basis of an invincible nation is an invincible individual. And the basis of an invincible individual, Maharishi explained, is the experience of the Unified Field—the transcendental, unmanifest field of life, which administers the universe with perfect order. “Through Transcendental Meditation, the ultimate reality can now be accessed in the self-referral consciousness within every individual,” Maharishi said. Maharishi emphasized that nothing new from the outside is required to raise a nation to invincibility. “We are simply reminding the people about their own inner Self—the Unified Field—which is invincible, unshakeable, and beyond all boundaries,” Maharishi said. Maharishi also announced that total knowledge of the Unified Field will be offered as the curriculum of his new universities, colleges, and schools, which are now being established in every country. “Then the next generation will own the Unified Field in their awareness so they will not be a slave to situations and circumstances—they will be masters of their own destiny,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s program will create stable
government In response to a press question about the long-term impact of his program upon a nation, Maharishi said the government will enjoy perpetual success and stability and the government leader will fulfill his parental role for the country. Such a stable government, Maharishi added, will be in sharp contrast to the current democratic system, which creates chaos in administration. “Consider what would happen to the children if they were asked to select new parents every four years. This is what is happening to the people when there is a new government every four years,” Maharishi said.
Sovereignty should not be a begging bowl— In response to another press question about how smaller nations could maintain their sovereignty in a world dominated by big economic powers, Maharishi said that sovereignty should not be a begging bowl that can be bought and sold by any individual or nation. Rather, sovereignty should be based on the light of God—total Natural Law—which is sung in the holy texts of every religion, presented in the textbooks of the physical sciences, and directly experienced through the science of consciousness. “Here is a chance for every country to rise to invincibility on the basis of the invincible light of God—the Unified Field—within the self-referral consciousness of everyone,” Maharishi said.

The solution, Maharishi said, is for every nation to rise to invincibility through alliance with the Constitution of the Universe—and to no longer rely on manmade constitutions with their inherent human weaknesses and failings. “The Constitution of the Universe is the Unified Field—the light of God—the field of infinite silence and infinite dynamism ingrained in every grain of creation. It eternally promotes the evolution of everyone and everything, from point to infinity, in the ever-expanding galactic universe,” Maharishi said. Maharishi said his Global Country of World Peace is establishing several groups of 8,000 Yogic Flyers throughout the world to enliven the Unified Field and create an invincible influence of coherence in world consciousness. The Global Country of World Peace is also establishing Vedic schools, colleges, and universities in every country to offer total knowledge of the Unified Field and raise the whole population to enlightenment—Unity Consciousness. “When the people are educated to function from the Unified Field, then all thought and action will be supported by total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—and they won’t make mistakes or cause problems for themselves or for others.
