Maharishi Pledges to Move Faster
Appointment of 108 Rajas
“The time of problems for both rulers and the ruled will soon be over” (August 30, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi pledged to move faster to transform today’s problem-ridden world into a world of permanent affluence and peace, and said that his first step will be to appoint 108 Rajas as administrators of his Peace Governments around the globe. Maharishi will announce the new Rajas during his next global news conference on September 1. “We have the key to open the door of a bright new destiny for all mankind,” Maharishi proclaimed during his August 25 global news conference. “Now, I want to reduce the time it takes to turn the key. In the next global news conference, I will announce the 108 Rajas who will impart to the whole population the knowledge of total Natural Law so people do not have to face problems, sickness, or suffering now or in the future.” Maharishi said his announcement came in response to the “silent, humble, positive desire” by Dr. John Hagelin, President of the US Peace Government, for Maharishi and His Majesty Raja Raam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, to move faster in creating a world of affluence and permanent peace. The Raja has a parental role for all the people of the nation Maharishi said the Rajas will have a parental role—loving, caring, and supporting—for all the people in every nation. “The Raja is the custodian of total knowledge, and he will make total knowledge the guiding light of the nation so that everyone is always healthy, wealthy, and wise,” Maharishi said. Democracy is a wretched system of administration
Maharishi said Rajas are needed
to quietly administer society because democracy has proven to be a
wretched system of administration. “Democracy is a failure,” Maharishi
said. “The national integrity of every country is shattered by
opposition within every government. It is a barbaric system that should
be thrown out. And the way to throw it out is to quietly bring in the
light—quietly create coherent national consciousness—to establish peace,
prosperity, order, and affluence in the nation.” | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Maharishi also denounced the negative impact that the constant turnover in government leadership has on the lives of the people. “Consider what would happen if a child changed his parents every four years. The same thing happens to the people of a country when their president is changed every four years through this bad system of democracy,” Maharishi said. Maharishi to train the Rajas in the skill of ideal administration Maharishi announced that he will train the Rajas in the skill of ideal administration. “Administration should promote evolution,” Maharishi said. “The Unified Field promotes the sequential evolution of everyone and everything, from point to infinity, in the ever-expanding universe. This sequential flow of evolution is the skill of administration of the Government of the Universe. The Rajas will enliven the Unified Field in individual and collective consciousness to raise every national government to this supreme level of administration of total Natural Law. Then fulfillment and harmony will prevail in individual life and coherence and peace will prevail in national consciousness.” Rajas must have total knowledge and live in a proper home Maharishi emphasized that the economic status of the Rajas—whether they are rich or poor—is not a consideration in his program to create permanent world peace. What is important, Maharishi said, is that the Rajas are rich in the knowledge of total Natural Law and live in a proper home. “The Rajas must have total knowledge lively in their awareness and radiate that totality in their thought, speech, and behavior,” Maharishi said. “The Rajas must also live in proper homes—Peace Palaces—that have been constructed according to Vedic architecture in harmony with Natural Law. Then their cosmic desires will be supported by the almighty power of Natural Law, and the whole world family will rise to a bright new fortune of prosperity and peace.”
“This is a practical, proven
program to create Maharishi concluded by announcing that the Rajas will establish in every country Vedic universities, colleges, and schools to apply total knowledge in every area of society—education, health, agriculture, economics, defense, politics, administration, and architecture and city planning. Maharishi said these educational institutions will provide the principles and practice of total knowledge to every student. “The result will be enlightened citizens of every nation and permanent world peace,” said Maharishi, who then added strongly, “This is not a fanciful idea—this is a practical, proven program to create a world of happiness and fulfillment for all times to come.” | |||||||||||||||||||||

Grand Inauguration of
“His Highness Raja Dean will bring the influence of the Constitution of the Universe in the manmade constitutions of governments”—Maharishi
(August 23, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi proclaimed “a dawning new sunshine for the destiny of mankind in the light of total Natural Law, the light of God,” with the historic appointment of His Highness Raja Dean as the Raja of Washington, D.C., and the grand inauguration of Raja Dean’s Royal Residence in the U.S. capital at the Jefferson. “His Highness Raja Dean will create an ideal atmosphere of harmony and permanent world peace. This will supply the missing feature of administration in the political arena of our dear world,” Maharishi declared during his August 18 global news conference. “He will bring the silence of the Unified Field, which administers the universe with perfect order, into the dynamism of administration that dominates governments today. The result will be a perfect model of administration that eliminates the age-old weaknesses and problems of every government,” Maharishi said. His Excellency Dr. John Hagelin, a world-renowned quantum physicist and President of the US Peace Government, praised His Highness Raja Dean as deeply established in the silence of the Unified Field and said that his presence in Washington will peacefully anchor America’s chaotic national administration to the ideal administration of the universe—the supersymmetric union of dynamism and silence—to promote peace and harmony for the nation and the world.
Inauguration of the Capital of
the Global Country of World Peace Maharishi heralded the inauguration in Washington as the next step forward in the fulfillment of the democratic system. “Democracy means that everyone should be satisfied with the government. Distributing Vedic knowledge to every government and every area of human concern Maharishi said that Vedic knowledge—total knowledge of the Unified Field—will be distributed to every government and every area of human concern through the Vedic University to be established soon by His Highness Raja Dean. “His Majesty Raja Raam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, scientifically demonstrated that the entire physical universe is just the expression of the Unified Field—the field of consciousness—within the Self of everyone,” Maharishi said. “This precious gift of Vedic knowledge to mankind will prevent all problems, raise the whole population to perfection, and create permanent world peace now—and for all generations to come.” Peace Government to create a steady wave of peace to calm conflicts In answer to a press question about how a nation, such as the United States, which is deeply divided by political differences, can become truly united, Maharishi said that his Peace Governments will provide the solution. “The Peace Government will create a steady wave of peace so that conflicts do not arise and competing tendencies naturally calm down,” Maharishi said. “Just as darkness naturally disappears with the onset of light, so, too, opposition and negativity will naturally disappear with the rise of the influence of peace and harmony in collective consciousness.” Maharishi explained the mechanics of this transformation. “Members of the Peace Government will quietly contact the transcendental field—the field of absolute peace—within their own self-referral consciousness every morning and evening in their own homes,” Maharishi said. “Through the power of attention, these members will stir the transcendental field and enliven the influence of peace in the thought, speech, and action of the whole population. As they rise to higher states of consciousness, the destructive, problematic trends of lower states of consciousness will simply not appear.” “Very soon the world press will have only good news to report” Maharishi concluded by announcing that his Rajas will soon open 12 Time Zone Capitals of the Global Country of World Peace around the world. Maharishi also said that Vedic universities, colleges, and schools are now being established throughout the world to offer total knowledge to the whole population. can save your nation—
Maharishi
offers Vedic defense to raise every “Two thousand years of suffering is enough” (August 16, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week dismissed as “senseless and ineffective” destructive weapons and other offensive military strategies used to defend a nation from attack—and declared prevention to be the only way a government can safeguard its people. For effective prevention, Maharishi offered government leaders the Vedic approach to defense, which creates coherent national consciousness to prevent the birth of an enemy either inside or outside a country’s borders. “Ask any president, prime minister, or military commander, ‘Can you save your country?’” Maharishi said. “If he is truthful, he will say ‘No.’ Then why is he enlisting the youth of his country—giving them food and drink today—to die for the nation tomorrow? Maharishi condemns countries that sell arms Maharishi also condemned destructive powers that sell arms to poor nations under the guise of promoting national defense. “Countries that earn money selling arms are very cruel,” Maharishi said. “Everyone knows selling arms is wrong, because killing is always a sin. We want everyone to be saved from committing sin. That is why we are establishing groups of Yogic Flyers in every nation to promote a high level of coherence in world consciousness. Then no one will be an enemy to anyone.” Extensive published scientific research has found that groups of Yogic Flyers create harmony and coherence in collective consciousness, reducing negative trends such as crime, violence, and war, and promoting positive social and economic trends throughout society. He should promote safety, security, and invincibility from within his own nation through the ancient Vedic science that has been proven unfailingly effective by modern science,” Maharishi said. “But science doesn’t mean anything to America and Britain. For these countries, the Unified Field is just a theoretical calculation of mathematical equations. They don’t see how Vedic technologies can enliven the Unified Field to create peace. That is why these countries keep on killing. Maharishi challenges the President of India:
“Can you save your nation “If the answer is “no”—then the President of India should join with the President of the US Peace Government to create national invincibility” (August 8, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week issued a pointed challenge to the President of India—the world’s largest democracy—questioning whether or not the Indian government is competent save its people from enemy attack. And if not, Maharishi asked, what is the President prepared to do about it? “As a citizen of India, I have a right to respectfully ask my President: ‘With all the power that is vested in you by the Constitution of India, can you truthfully say you can defend the nation? And if not, are you prepared to learn something new in order to protect your people?’” Maharishi asked. The President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam, is a top physicist and developer of India’s missile systems.

Invincibility is only available on the level of the Unified Field In response to a press question about what Dr. Hagelin will tell the President of India, Maharishi said, “The President of India is a scientist who must know about the Unified Field, which has been glimpsed by modern science and known by ancient Vedic science throughout the ages. So, Dr. Hagelin will tell the President something he already knows but perhaps has forgotten due to the chaos of today’s world. Dr. Hagelin will remind the President of a simple formula—that invincibility is available only on the level of the Unified Field because that is the only level that cannot be disturbed by outside influences. And Dr. Hagelin will tell him about simple Vedic technologies that enliven the Unified Field, the Veda, in human awareness to promote coherent collective consciousness—the basis of invincibility for the nation and permanent peace in the world,” Maharishi said. Extensive published scientific research has proven that groups of experts practicing Maharishi’s Vedic technologies, including Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, create coherence and harmony in collective consciousness, thereby preventing negative trends, such as crime, conflict, and war; and promoting positive tendencies throughout the whole population. Avert the danger which has not yet come In response to another press question, Maharishi declared the Vedic approach to prevention to be the only way to safeguard a nation from attack. “Follow the Vedic wisdom: ‘Avert the danger which has not yet come,’” Maharishi said. “Create coherent national consciousness to transform the enmity of the enemy into friendship. Then you will defeat the enemy in his own home—even before he can think of raiding you.” Maharishi said any government can create coherence through Vedic technologies of the Unified Field. “Wake up the invincible power of the the Unified Field—the Constitution of the Universe—within the self-referral consciousness of the people, and then no danger will come to the nation. It is easy for a nation to rise to invincibility, but it is difficult for people to endure problems and suffering,” Maharishi said. “Don’t waste a moment—because who knows what will happen tomorrow?” Maharishi concluded by emphasizing that his challenge is directed to all government leaders who are searching for a way to safeguard their nations. “We want every government to have this knowledge to create coherent national consciousness. Then everyone in every nation will rise above the reach of problems and enjoy peace, positivity, and affluence now—and for all times to come,” said Maharishi, who then strongly advised the government leaders: “But you must take action now. would have been at peace (August 3, 2004) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi offered to leaders of today’s problem-ridden world the parental support of his Global Country of World Peace and the total knowledge of Natural Law to raise every citizen to enlightenment and every nation to invincibility—and bring supreme fulfillment to the trend towards globalization rising in the world. “We have in our possession today the total knowledge of Natural Law to transform our world from the narrowness of nationalism to the wide-open field of globalism,” Maharishi declared during his global news conference on July 28. “And we have created the Global Country of World Peace to serve as an umbrella to protect all nations from the onslaught of today’s ‘heated’ chaotic atmosphere—and make our world free from conflict, suffering, negativity, and war.” Maharishi’s pronouncement was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. During the news conference, Maharishi also condemned the destructive political forces that on three occasions have forcefully dismantled his efforts to establish groups of 8,000 peace-creating Yogic Flyers in India. Maharishi said these destructive forces opposed his global peace program on the basis of party politics, inciting fear and violence, which caused the groups to disperse overnight. Maharishi targeted the U.S. and British policy of “divide and rule” as fueling these destructive political forces within India. “‘Divide and rule’ is a shameful policy that creates divisions within a nation in the name of democracy so that the whole country is split against itself with fights everywhere,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s global peace program will prevail Maharishi said that without the dismantling of his peace-creating groups, the world would have been at peace ten years ago. However, Maharishi emphasized, despite such disruptions, his global peace program will prevail—and Maharishi made clear that his efforts are now under way for every country. “If even one nation remains without peace, that nation will create a nuisance for the world family—just as one little thorn throws the whole body out of balance,” Maharishi said.
Establishing Peace Governments in 108
countries Maharishi’s global peace plan calls for the immediate establishment of Peace Governments in 108 countries along with 3,000 Peace Palaces in the world’s largest 3,000 cities. Each Peace Palace will offer courses in total knowledge for all areas of society to raise the whole population to enlightenment. Each Peace Palace will also be home to a group of 100 to 200 peace-creating experts whose collective practice of Yogic Flying will promote coherent collective consciousness—the basis of national invincibility. “Three thousand Peace Palaces will be enough to maintain total Natural Law—divine wakefulness—in the awareness of the people and raise every nation to invincibility. Then every nation will enjoy the supreme level of globalization, where no nation will lose its identity and every nation will enjoy the strength of every other nation,” Maharishi said.

Now, with the blessings of the Vedic tradition of masters, we are singing the same eternal song of life—the same song that maintains the infinite diversity of the universe in one unified wholeness.
