Recognition of the health-promoting and healing qualities of honey are not new. Honey has been prized for centuries, not only for its sweet taste, but for its healing and curative qualities. Now researchers worldwide are studying and finding strong antimicrobial (antibacterial) healing properties in some honeys. Honey Can Really Be Organic

A representative of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture Ltd. involved in market research recounts his findings:

I work in the marketing division of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture Ltd., and recently I have been involved in doing market research on organic honey in the USA. As I spoke with salespeople working in health food stores, I realized that many of them share a similar point, of view where organic honey is concerned: Since bees are free to fly they want to, there really is no such thing as ‘organic’ honey these days.

After hearing this opinion voiced several times, I thought I had better call the Maharishi Vedic Farm that is located in South America where honey is being produced. I asked them the very same question: Can honey really be organic?

YES was their reply. They told me that in order for honey to be considered organic, there are certain requirements that must be met:

1. The land surrounding the beehives must be certified organic by a registered certification agency (theirs’ is IMO). Many people do not realize that bees only fly within five kilometers of their hive and so it is possible to ensure that their environment is organic. Their bees are wild, choosing to fly into the hives we provide for them and free to collect their nectar from the surrounding acres and acres of virgin forest, rich in its variety of tropical flowering plants, shrubs and trees.

2. The foundation wax that is used has to either be organic or be tested to be sure it does not contain any residues of medication given to bees or agro chemicals.

3. The honey itself must be tested to be sure it does not contain any residues of pesticides or other pollutants. 

The wax and honey from Maharishi Vedic Farms are sent to a laboratory in Germany that specializes in testing bee products, to guarantee they meet these stringent organic standards.

(October 7, 2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi offered every government the knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe—which maintains harmony between diversity and unity in the ever-expanding universe—to raise the world’s population to higher states of consciousness and create an ideal planet.

For this Maharishi called for the establishment in every nation of a Peace Government and a group of 1,000 to 2,000 peace-creating Yogic Flyers to create coherent world consciousness and prevent negativity and problems from arising anywhere in the world.

“If the world is ever to be orderly, progressive, and at peace, it will be because governments have adopted the Constitution of the Universe,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi’s pronouncements came on Wednesday, October 1, during his global news conference, which was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.

Governments invited to bring higher states of consciousness
to the whole population

Maharishi said that he started his worldwide Transcendental Meditation movement 50 years ago to bring enlightenment to individuals, and now he is focused on governments. “I am inviting every government to adopt the Constitution of the Universe to raise the whole population of every nation to higher states of consciousness—the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi explained that modern science provides only a partial understanding of the Constitution of the Universe—the Unified Field of Natural Law—but that Vedic science provides the complete knowledge and proven technologies to apply the Constitution of the Universe to benefit all fields of life. Maharishi said that the Constitution of the Universe:

·        is available in the first syllable, “A,” of the Vedic literature, which is the reverberations of the Unified Field, the reverberations of the self-referral field of consciousness

·        is not a finite human conception but rather is uncreated and eternal

Maharishi acknowledged that the Constitution of the Universe may be over the heads of government leaders because of the appalling quality of education today. But, Maharishi said, every nation and the whole world will be better off if government leaders utilize the knowledge.

“Here is the simple, complete knowledge of how to engage Natural Law to work for you,” Maharishi said in a special message for heads of state. “You can rise to any level of achievement when you utilize Natural Law, which is inherent within your own self-referral consciousness—within your own Self. So make use of it—make hay while the sun shines.”

(October 14, 2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi invited every government to adopt the Constitution of the Universe, which administers the universe with perfect order, to create an atmosphere of global peace and harmony that will prevent conflict and negativity from arising anywhere in the world and ensure that every individual and nation always lives in the light of God.

“Man is made in the image of God, and therefore he should be the custodian of peace, prosperity, and happiness in the world,” Maharishi said. “We are offering governments the knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe, which is the inner Self of everyone, so that everyone can live in the light of God and every government can enjoy stable, successful administration.”

Maharishi’s declaration came on Wednesday, October 8, during his global news conference, which was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland.

Ideal government is self-government

Maharishi said the time has passed for waging war over a political system—democracy, monarchy, dictatorship—because every system has failed. “No government is ideal because no government is able to prevent problems,” Maharishi said. “Ideal government is self-government. For that, proper education is needed to train people not to make mistakes. If a government has to punish its people because they make mistakes, it is the government that should be punished. It is time to amend the situation with proper education. Good government is based on good education.”

Peace Governments will end the barbarism of the world

Maharishi called for Peace Governments to be established in every country to end the barbarism that is rampant in today’s world. Maharishi said that each Peace Government will immediately establish a group of a few thousand Yogic Flyers to enliven the Constitution of the Universe—the unbounded creative intelligence that administers infinity and point in the ever-expanding universe. This, Maharishi said, will promote integrated national consciousness—the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free, ideal administration.

Maharishi also called for governments to become stable and no longer hold elections, which are disruptive to national life. However, Maharishi emphasized, such stability will be possible only if the leaders take proper care of their people. “Give the people consciousness-based education to develop their full brain potential so they don’t make mistakes; consciousness-based medicine to prevent and cure disease; consciousness-based organic agriculture for good, healthy food; and consciousness-based defense to create coherent collective consciousness to prevent the birth of an enemy—
to eliminate the enmity within the enemy. Give the people enlightenment and national invincibility and you will never be turned out of office,” Maharishi said. 

Maharishi concluded by declaring that the time is now favorable for the light of God to prevail on earth. “With the onset of light there will be no darkness—no suffering. The light of God is eternally lively in the innermost recesses of our own consciousness. This is not a matter of discussion or debate—this is the reality of life. Until now, education has been incompetent to awaken this reality in the life of the people. Now, we are offering proper education so that the thought, speech, and behavior of everyone born on earth are always in the light of God.

(October 29, 2003) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi called on America’s wealthy to quickly establish a $1 billion endowment fund to create a group of 8,000 peace-creating experts in the United States to promote permanent world peace. Maharishi said that the group, to be established by the US Peace Government, will create coherent world consciousness so that negativity does not arise anywhere on the globe and the whole world family enjoys invincibility, affluence, and peace—now and in the future.

“One billion dollars for peace is nothing compared to what is spent on war—but it is enough to save the world,” Maharishi said. Maharishi then added a strong caution to the wealthy: “Establish the endowment and bring the light of peace now—or darkness will bring destruction to your nation.”

Maharishi’s bold pronouncements came during an historic international news conference held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on Friday, October 24. Maharishi spoke live via satellite from the Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Holland. The event was covered by America’s top financial and news press, including Barron’s (The Wall Street Journal’s prestigious weekly newspaper), The New York Times, Newsday, New York Post, The Boston Globe, Money, and Smart Money.

Utilizing the Constitution of the Universe to create world peace

In response to a reporter’s question, Maharishi explained how, after centuries of conflict and war, lasting peace can now finally be achieved. “We have in our grip, in this scientific age, the knowledge of the Unified Field—the Constitution of the Universe—which governs the ever expanding universe with perfect order,” Maharishi said. “We are ready to utilize this knowledge to raise national administration to be as orderly as the administration of the universe. We are ready to utilize this knowledge to create a world of harmony and peace for the present—and for the future. We will bring the light, and the darkness will disappear.”

Dr. John Hagelin outlines Maharishi’s peace plan

Dr. John Hagelin, a world-renowned quantum physicist, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of the World Peace, and President of the US Peace Government, outlined Maharishi’s peace plan for the United States, including the following programs to create a lasting influence of coherence and harmony in national and world consciousness:

• immediately employ a group of 8,000 peace-creating experts to prevent stress, negativity, and conflict from arising anywhere within or outside the country;

• establish a University of World Peace that offers consciousness-based education to develop the total brain potential of the students. The Peace Palaces will also offer Maharishi’s prevention-oriented, consciousness-based programs in all areas of society.

Dr. Hagelin presented the extensive scientific research and modern scientific principles that validate the effectiveness of Maharishi’s programs to prevent violence and conflict and promote peace and harmony in society. Maharishi’s global peace plan calls for a University of World Peace and a large group of Yogic Flyers in every country and 3,000 Peace Palaces in the world’s largest 3,000 cities.

Top leaders announce plans to raise $1 billion

Following Dr. Hagelin, several of America’s top leaders, including retired corporate president Robert Brown, real estate developer Robert LoPinto, successful entrepreneur Lincoln Norton, and award-winning film director David Lynch, revealed plans now under way in cities across the country to raise from top foundations and billionaires the $1 billion endowment needed to create permanent world peace. “Endowment” means that only the investment income of this one billion dollars will be used; and the principal will always remain as a permanent financial basis for world peace.

Mr. LoPinto also announced that he is contributing $1 million towards the construction of a Peace Palace in Long Island, New York.

Maharishi offered praise for the efforts of Dr. Hagelin and the leaders. “It is the readiness of the wise and competent men of America, led by Dr. Hagelin, that will save the world,” Maharishi said.

Prosperity and peace in New York City—without heart palpitations

Maharishi concluded the news conference with a special message for the people of New York City. “There is constant heart palpitation in New York because it is the financial capital of the world: Today the price is high; tomorrow it is low. We will bring peace to this heart-palpitating quality of life. Then the businessmen of New York will enjoy greater success, and will raise the world economy to a high level of prosperity and peace for everyone—without heart palpitations. It is a great joy to announce these plans for New York. And with the establishment of this endowment fund, it will be an even greater joy to produce the peaceful effect,” Maharishi said.
