Weekend Residence Courses

Maharishi tells us that rest is the basis of activity. We sleep at night in order to have a more successful day. When we learned the Transcendental Meditation technique, we added a new cycle to our daily routine, a deeper level of rest twice a day for greater success in life. Residence Courses provide another opportunity to gain even more profound rest, to deepen our experience in meditation and broaden our understanding of Maharishi's knowledge. Attending Residence Courses is of great importance. Usually we take two days rest after 5 days activity, it's a cycle. It's a time of rest. If in that time we add some additional quantities of rest, it's not out of the rhythm. It's necessary.

A Residence course is very well structured by Maharishi. During a residence course we apply the procedure of rounding. The reason for the procedure of rounding is the need for release of stress - as much as possible as soon as possible. There's a need to not have the foreign material in the body, not have foreign matter of stress in the body, so that the physiology is more refined in order to produce a more precious quality of awareness. It's the physiology, the quality of the body, which is responsible for the quality of awareness.  

So if the body is restricted for its full functioning due to stresses, we do everything to get them out as soon as possible. For that, these procedures-the very well balanced procedure of rounding, and weekend courses or week courses-have been designed. They are for the sake of fulfilling this require­ment of life to get the stresses out as soon as possible, and as much as possible.

Because the stresses are on the physical level, and because they are intimately connected with this psychological level, with the level of con­sciousness, so Transcendental Medita­tion redresses the system from the men­tal side-we do something to the mind, mental activity.

And if something can be done from the physical side as well, it might add one more engine to it. The train, when it goes up the hill, one more engine is added to it. So when we want a quicker pace of redressing the system and getting the obstacles, the stresses out, then we do something from the physical side and we do something from the mental side.

In Lebanon, Maharishi Health Education Center is organizing a monthly weekend residence course at every first weekend of the Month. the next Weekend Residence Course dates will be from November 3 to 5, 2000, the courses are held at a very beautiful rented academy, at Ramlieh village, in Alley Area. Maharishi Global Country of World Peace

On the Day of Victory, the 7th of October 2000, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has established His Global Country of World Peace--Maharishi Vishvashanti Rastra, and appointed the Head of State, Prime Minister, Ministers, and global and local leaders.

Maharishi inaugurated His Global Country of World Peace at the demand of the members of the TM movements all over the world, who signed and send to the Maharishi International Administration the following letter:

Your Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,

From the level of our inner peace, the level of our Atma--our self-referral pure being, from the level of our heart, mind and intellect we wish to request Maharishiji to establish a Global Country of World Peace.

In our world today we experience two realities: On the one hand through the Vedic technologies of Consciousness that Maharishiji has given us, we experience the infinite peace and bliss of the transcendental pure being within ourselves.  We experience the support of nature, the growth of health, harmony and fulfillment in our personal life that transcending gives us. We have the confirmation through hundreds of scientific research studies of the effectiveness and comprehensive benefits of Transcendental Meditation, the Transcendental Meditation -- Sidhi program, Yogic flying, and other Maharishi Vedic technologies showing that even crime, conflicts and war can be eradicated and Peace can be a living reality in everyone's life as well as in society, the nation and the world.  We also are inspired by the complete vision of wholeness, and profound practical benefits that Maharishiji's programs are bringing to education, health, administration, defense, agriculture, and all fields of human undertaking thus removing all weakness and poverty and fulfilling the highest aspirations and goals of every peace-loving individual and every sage and great leader of our world.

On the other hand we experience that our cultures are threatened by indiscriminate disregard to the rich diversity of languages, manners, ways, habits and traditions.  We experience the threat to life in tune with Natural Law.  We are exposed to medical systems that have devastating side-effects, to education that does not develop the full potential of every individual, to agriculture that feeds us poison and non-nutritious food, to pollution in our environment, and to systems of administration and defense that use coercive methods based on fear, and destruction.  Poverty is prevalent everywhere financial poverty with no means of subsistence but poverty also in Consciousness, poverty in culture, poverty in health, poverty in the foresight of a diversely rich yet unified world.  Furthermore, The democratic systems have created party politics where the priorities of each party supersede the common good and are a foundation for strife and division compromising the possibilities for peace in society.

Above all Maharishiji, we are witnessing a horrifying trend that has emerged from the NATO countries resorting to destructive means in the name of Peace. These arms selling countries spread fear and even encourage and rejoice in divisions and fights in order to sell their arms.  In spite of the repeated failure of the destructive means of arms and war, in spite of the creation of the United Nations Organization to end all wars, and in spite of the research and repeated demonstrations showing how the Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi programme and Yogic flying with only a few individuals can create Peace and harmony in society and among nations, in spite of all this, NATO, including some of the most prominent members of the UNO security council resorts to destruction in the name of policing the world.  Their World Bank and International Monetary Fund have spread financial havoc in developing countries making them slaves of non-productive misleading policies.

It is in view of this and on behalf of the millions of people living in the world, on behalf of all lovers of peace and well-wishers for humanity, on behalf of life in accord with Natural Law we request Maharishiji to create a Global Country of World Peace--a Country whose constitution is the Constitution of the Universe--Rk Veda, supporting and nourishing all peoples and constitutions.  We want to be citizens of the Global Country of world peace to live in peace and be able to create everywhere unity, prosperity, happiness, and perfect health while acknowledging and supporting the rich diversity of our world.  We wish that no one who depends on or resorts to destructive means and fear-based administration or takes his strength from policies of dissension and division such as the "divide and rule" policy, be accepted as a citizen of Maharishi Global Country of World Peace.  We also wish if Maharishiji would select someone who officially and on a permanent hereditary basis will safeguard the constitution of the Global country of World Peace as Rk Veda--the Constitution of the Universe and will provide the practical operational intelligence to organize all the activities and legislations of the Global Country of World Peace. 

In deep appreciation, we are full of hope that life on earth can be heavenly and are awaiting to start using our own passports, currency, and banks as Citizen of the Country of World Peace.

Description of the Maharishi Global Country

Professor Tony Nader MD Ph.D. who is appointed as the Ruler of the Maharishi Global Country of World Peace has sent a letter on the 4th of October 2000, to all the members of the TM movement describing the Maharishi Global Country of World Peace and how its leaders will be selected. 

In his letter Professor Nader wrote: "The new sovereign Maharishi Global Country of World Peace will have Rk Veda--the Constitution of the Universe--as its Constitution. Rk Veda--the Constitution of the Universe--has been shown to bring fulfillment to all constitutions of the world. Maharishi Vishvashanti Rastra will uphold and nourish every country's constitution.

Maharishi's world movement has an honorable status in every country and is creating a heavenly life on earth everywhere through various corporations, administrations, organizations, political parties, universities, and schools. Starting from this coming Victory Day, Maharishi will declare all His Movement institutions as part of his Global Country of World Peace.

Citizenship of Maharishi Global Country of world peace will be given to individuals who cherish world peace and peaceful means to create unity, prosperity, happiness, and perfect health while acknowledging and supporting the rich diversity of our world. No one who depends on or resorts to destructive means and fear-based administration or takes his strength from policies of dissension and division such as the "divide and rule" policy, will be accepted as a citizen.

The leaders of Maharishi Global Country of world peace will be those who have gained most knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe and have had most experience in its practical technologies as taught by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi."

Coronation of The Ruler of The Global Country

On Thursday, 12 October, 2000, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi celebrated the installation of the Head of State, the Prime Minister, and the Cabinet of the Global Country of World Peace on a special live satellite broadcast. 

On the next day a global ceremony started for the coronation of Professor Tony Nader MD Ph.D. as the Ruler of the Global Country. 

The ceremony was done is accordance with the Vedic traditions, as they came onto us by the Vedic Masters. The ceremony included all the elements as it was expected to be done at the time of Vedic civilization. Everything was there; the elephants, the horses, the royal chariot, adding to these, the modern cars, the banner planes and the satellite broadcasting, so that everyone can hear and see.

With the recitation of the Vedic hymns, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, installed the golden crown on the Head of the new ruler of His Global Country. This ruler is the discoverer of all the Veda to exist in the Human Physiology, this Veda by itself is the Constitution of the Universe, and it is the Constitution of the Maharishi Global Country of World Peace.

In this way, His Majesty the King of the Maharishi Global Country was hailed. It is really a great event in the history of time, to reestablish the Vedic Civilization in this age. Those who can hear and see this event are the lucky ones, they are blessed from the Heavens. It is a turning point in the life of the human race. It is an event that touches the hearts of all. Even His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, presented the golden medal and the garment of flowers to the new King of His Global Country, and gave him His blessings with a deep feeling that touched His heart and affected His voice.

CANDIDATE FIGHTS POLITICAL 'DUOPOLY'

Oct. 2, 2000 - Natural Law Party presidential candidate John Hagelin has a message he thinks American voters deserve to hear. It includes a 20-point action plan to revitalize the country with unique views on the environment, education and agriculture.

But many probably haven't heard of Hagelin or his party. The 46-year-old physicist and educator blames this on a campaign format he says rewards the candidates with the most money and corporate support.

"It is not easy in the U.S. for any third party candidate because the odds have been stacked against us by the Democratic/Republican duopoly," Hagelin said. "They have locked us out of debates and keep us off of the ballots. They don't have to gather millions of signatures to get on the ballot."

While Al Gore and George Bush prepare for the first of four nationally televised debates Tuesday evening, Hagelin hovers below the public radar. He was in Boulder and Denver on Sunday for a book signing and speech. Today, he will speak at the University of Denver at 10 a.m. and at the Boulder Theater at 7 p.m. Hagelin said Gore and Bush fear the presence of independent candidates.

"They are afraid of these ideas and they are afraid of losing votes," Hagelin said. Hagelin is trying to form a coalition of independent parties that he thinks could eventually break down the walls of the "duopoly." He said such a coalition, which would include the Reform Party's best candidates as well as those of the Green Party, could be a reality for the 2004 election.

"We are trying to give a voice to the 50 million registered independent voters who don't have a home and beyond that to the 115 million who don't vote," Hagelin said. "There is a growing need for a voice that speaks to the vast majority of voters." ...

Hagelin is on the ballot in 44 states, including Colorado. He is on the ballot under the Natural Law Party in 37 states, the Reform Party in six and the Independent Party in New York. He is on the Colorado ballot under the Natural Law Party.
